Help us Grow

Fundraising campaign

We are blown away by the support we have received from our community of people who share our vision for reinventing education. We are inspired by the momentum we are building as we provide learners with opportunities to reach their fullest potential. Over the past year and a half, we have grown tremendously – we tripled our enrollment – and we anticipate doubling our enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year.

We need your help. We are moving into a new campus that will better support our growing vision. We want to create outdoor learning spaces, natural playgrounds, an art room, a maker space, and inspiring studio spaces.

Join our journey and help us reach our goal!

Join us in reinventing education

When you support our school, you are joining a new educational paradigm that serves the whole child and empowers young people to grow into authentic, passionate, and effective leaders for the future. Here is our blueprint for reinventing education:

Self-Directed Learning Environment

We invite every child to take control of their educational journey by exercising the freedom to make choices and embracing accountability for the results of their efforts. This approach leads to confident learners eager to take on challenges and demonstrate the resiliency necessary to accomplish complex tasks. Through reflection, they learn their strengths and weaknesses and empower themselves to experience infinite growth.

Serving the Whole Child

Our learners embark on a series of Hero’s Journeys: they set big, authentic goals, enlist the help of allies, show grit and tenacity in the face of obstacles, and reflect on their achievements before beginning the cycle again. Guides are there to support them through the process by asking timely, thought-provoking questions and encouraging them to dream big, take action, and reflect often. Our learners develop multiple perspectives through Socratic discussions, build a strong tribe, grow emotional intelligence, learn to navigate conflicts, master practical life skills, experience the joy of entrepreneurship, and much more.

Experiential Learning

Our learners engage in a wide range of rich, multi-disciplinary experiential learning, including Montessori works, loose parts play, Timbernook outdoor education, hands-on quests, internships, and apprenticeships. We build and create, tinker and play, all within the framework of accomplishing difficult things and completing meaningful work. Students plan their field trips, create their own businesses and sell their products and services at our Annual Childrens’ Business Fair, and participate in planning, building, and managing projects like building a deck for our school, engineering a zip line in the forest, and constructing a natural playground on our campus.

Growing Independent Thinkers

We are growing the next generation of independent thinkers to confidently use their voice, think critically, and hold space for multiple perspectives. We teach them how to think, not what to think. Our learners grow rooted in self-confidence, resilience, and empathy. They courageously explore the unknown and take risks knowing they will learn something valuable even if they don’t succeed.
