THERE WILL BE HARD DAYS.

Tummy aches. Migraines. Tears. We see these things.

It is the beginning of a new school year – a significant life experience for our children.

I have a child who suffers from anxiety when change happens. I’m getting better at naming it and he’s getting better at managing it. But it still hurts. I want to take it away but I know I must not. It is his life and I cannot live it for him. How debilitating that would be.

Bad days will happen. When one does, don’t be afraid to reach out to other Acton parents. We have all experienced the ups and downs of this journey. Hearing others’ stories is a magnificent way to get strong again.

The book I gave you by Brene Brown, Daring Greatly, is a great encouragement for such days. And you have my number.
